Have you ever been in a cemetery and wondered about some of the people buried there? Curious about why there are obelisks in some cemeteries?
Celebrate the iconic works of Mexican artisans who make the sweet, ornate skulls that represent the Day of the Dead. Learn how to create your own brightly colored skull portrait adorned with flowers and vivid, whimsical patterns.
This program is open to tweens and teens ages 10-17 only, and registration is strongly recommended, as each session has occupancy limits. (Teens and tweens who did not register will be admitted as walk-ins on the day of only if the class is not full.)
Please note that ages 10-14 and ages 13-17 are suggested age ranges for each session but as long as you are between the ages of 10-17 you can sign up for either time that works best for your schedule.
Join us for light refreshments and meet members of the Central Iowa Textile Artists group and check out their exhibit in the Art Gallery from October 27 - December 14.
