February Jigsaw Puzzle Competition All Day 2/1 - 2/28 All Ages This event is in the "All Ages" group. Library Branch: Urbandale Public Library Age Group: All Ages Event Details: Throughout the month of February, teams can drop into the library to assemble a designated 500-piece puzzle. A prize will be awarded to the quickest team + all participating teams will be entered in a drawing!

Library Branch: Urbandale Public Library Room: Meeting Room A/B Age Group: Children Program Type: STEM It’s free play in a new way at the library! At this drop-in, unstructured program, we’ll provide Medium Blue Blocks from Imagination Playground, colorful jumbo plastic bricks, and other toys such as cars and animals to interact with the creations that your young engineers build. Everyone will have a blast getting creative while developing an understanding of concepts such as length, measurement, comparison, counting, symmetry, and balance through experimentation and play! Target Audience: Families \| No registration \| This is a non-staffed program, children younger than 10 must be supervised to ensure safety for all. Drop-offs are not allowed for those under 10 years old. Disclaimer(s) Adult Supervision All children under the age of 10 must be supervised by an adult at programs and while in the library. As per our Children's Use Policy: "The Library is not responsible for the actions, supervision, or safety of a child or for guiding or monitoring a child’s use of the Library. Experience and practice counting, rhythm, body part identification, animal sounds, sensory stimulation, fine and gross motor skills, and more! We'll have 20-25 minutes of interactive programming, followed by an unstructured playtime where children and caregivers can play together and interact with peers. Target Audience: 0-24 months \| Registration encouraged to help us plan but not required Baby Bounce is held weekdays on Mondays and Thursdays at 9:00 AM and the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month at 9:30 AM. Please note that we do a weekday storytime cycle of three weeks on and one week off (to allow for planning time). Disclaimer(s) Tween & Teen Programs Age Restrictions This program is open to tweens and teens ages 10-17 only, and registration is strongly recommended, as each session has occupancy limits. (Teens and tweens who did not register will be admitted as walk-ins on the day of only if the class is not full.) Please note that ages 10-14 and ages 13-17 are suggested age ranges for each session but as long as you are between the ages of 10-17 you can sign up for either time that works best for your schedule.
