Repair Café

Do you have an item in your home in need of repair? Bring in 1-2 items in need of repair to the Urbandale Public Library Repair Café to get help from volunteers with expertise on how to fix your item(s). Referrals to a local professional will be provided if a volunteer is unable to repair your item. The Repair Café is offered on a first come, first served basis and items cannot be dropped off/picked up.

The following items can be brought for repair:

• Clothing and mending
• Bicycles
• Small motor home tools: trimmers, NO LAWNMOWERS
• Small electronics: audio equipment, computer/laptop gaming consoles, NO PHONES, TABLETS, IPADS, etc.
• Small home and kitchen appliances: food processors, blenders, mixers, fans, lamps

*Please bring replacement parts for items needing repair. Volunteers can help find replacement parts if necessary.

Seeds of Sustainability's Repair Cafe aims to reduce waste, share tools and resources, and help build self-reliance skills in our community.
