Week 9 

Location: Walnut Creek Regional Park (Horizon's Ridge Playground)

 

Join us for stories, songs, and family FUN in a different Urbandale Park every week! 

Target age: 2-6, families welcome! 

The Urbandale Public Library and Parks and Rec Department have partnered together to bring you Storytime in the Parks every Tuesday morning at 10:00 AM and Thursday evening at 6:30 PM at different Urbandale Parks each week from June 11 - August 8. Grab one of our Parks Passports for a full schedule and see how many parks in Urbandale you can visit! 

Storytimes will be cancelled during adverse weather. You can watch for cancellations due to weather by checking our Facebook or online calendar the day of the event. Registration is appreciated but not required- but doing so will allow us to email you with any weather-related updates.

Adult Supervision

All children under the age of 10 must be supervised by an adult at programs and while in the library.

As per our Children's Use Policy: "The Library is not responsible for the actions, supervision, or safety of a child or for guiding or monitoring a child’s use of the Library. A child 9 years of age or younger must be supervised by a caregiver at all times. A caregiver must be 14 years of age or older." 

Storytime Age Range Suggestions

Our age recommendations tell you the developmental level we plan for, but every child is different. Feel free to try them out and choose the storytime(s) that feel right. Everyone is welcome!
