Join us for LEGO fun in the youth area of the library. Drop in the 1st Tuesday of the month between 4:15 and 5:15 to enjoy free building at your own pace, or complete a challenge!

Buckle up, because this month's challenge will be to build a sled that safely carries two LEGO people down a hill (made of poster board) without falling out!

This month, join us to make your own paper plate polar bear that really rocks (as in, back-and-forth)! Customize your furry friend with a cozy scarf, sweater, and hat of your design.

At this longer storytime, we’ll dive into a topic and explore the fascinating world around us using a combination of nonfiction and fiction books. Each storytime will typically include reading, discussion, one craft, and one science activity. 

Target Audience: 3-6 years old  |  Registration encouraged to help us plan but not required

Storytime Explorers is held on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month at 10:00 AM.

This month, we’re going to make our own special snowflakes out of cardboard craft tubes. Challenge yourself to make a snowflake with six-fold symmetry, like in nature!

It’s free play in a new way at the library! 

At this drop-in, unstructured program, we’ll provide Medium Blue Blocks from Imagination Playground, colorful jumbo plastic bricks, and other toys such as cars and animals to interact with the creations that your young engineers build. Everyone will have a blast getting creative while developing an understanding of concepts such as length, measurement, comparison, counting, symmetry, and balance through experimentation and play! 

Target Audience: Families  |  No registration  |  This is a non-staffed program, children younger than 10 must be supervised to ensure safety for all. Drop-offs are not allowed for those under 10 years old.
