It’s free play in a new way at the library! At this drop-in, unstructured program, we’ll provide Medium Blue Blocks from Imagination Playground, colorful jumbo plastic bricks, and other toys such as cars and animals to interact with the creations that your young engineers build. Everyone will have a blast getting creative while developing an understanding of concepts such as length, measurement, comparison, counting, symmetry, and balance through experimentation and play! Target Audience: Families | No registration | This is a non-staffed program, children younger than 10 must be supervised to ensure safety for all. Drop-offs are not allowed for those under 10 years old.

This month, we’re off to the races! Your challenge is to make a car that will carry a paper Mario or Princess Peach, and really go! Create a wind-powered car using a balloon, straw, paper, and of course, wheels and axles.
